Indie movie day with my wife

Every once in a while my wife and I sit down to burn through months worth of movies in a day or so. This Sunday we are burning through Chef, I wish I was here, Skeleton Twins, and The Signal. Instead of writing multiple pages worth of review on each movie, I have decided to write one small blog with a quick 1 paragraph review of each movie we watched. I hope it works.

Destiny: 160 hours and... PART 4!! WHAT THE HELL!!...

Yet again I cannot express my sorrow in stretching this single topic into 4 blog posts. I literally never saw this happening and yet here we are. Honestly the only reason I felt a need to break up the last post was because of a crazy rant I went on. With all earnestness I plan on this being my last post on the topic ever!! Hopefully you stuck around this long and enjoy this final post!!

Destiny Part 3: 160 hours... hope for number 2

I have officially posted my negative post and my slightly more positive post. If people are still reading this is the post where I talk about my hope for Destiny 2. There was a point about 4 weeks ago where I was talking to my coworker Cam and I mentioned 3 or 4 things about the game that really bothered me, but ended the statement with, "The plus is everything wrong is patchable or will be fixed in Destiny 2". Not too much later than that I heard they announced Destiny 2. This actually might be part of the reason I was okay with walking away from the game. As I see it this announcement means they are going to move most of their focus onto completing Destiny 2 and probably fixing all the issues with Destiny in the next iteration. This means less focus on fixing the current iteration of Destiny, I believe there will be some upgrades, patches, and a couple more DLC packs, but overall I think this will be covered by a much smaller team. I think this is an accurate thought train for what is to happen, but I am okay with it as long as they actually put some real thought into some of the major flaws of the current game and fix them in the next.

Destiny: 160 hours... a less negative view:

Last Thursday or Friday I sat down to write a blog post about destiny. About 30 minutes into writing a did a quick check and read through it and quickly realized I had taken a very negative view to what was overall a very good game. At that point I decided I was going to make a second post highlighting the good aspects of the game and maybe point out a few other downfalls, but mostly focusing on the good. As I started thinking about all the good I came up with a list of hopes for the second game. Long story short... this is part two of what turned into a three part blog post. Enjoy!!

160 hours in and why destiny is flawed... (Unitentially part. 1 of 3)

I started writing this thinking it was going to be quick and easy... but now I am multiple paragraphs in and realize I need to break this up a bit. I am going to try to do a 3 part post. This first one will probably be the biggest part. And it will probably be a bit of a downer because I am mostly bitching about things people already have bitched about. But i will do a little bit of praising combined with a  bit more criticizing in the second one. Plus the third one will be my positive outlook and hopes for the next game... So enjoy

Well shit...

What is my problem. Man I desire so much to be a blogger, but find myself getting distracted and losing interest so quickly. So here I am to try again. At this point I will never start another blog, but will only continue writing here. The worst part is that I have tons of ideas bouncing around my head about stuff I want to write about... I am so bad at this but want to be better. i will try again and hopefully I can stick with this longer than a week or two. Also I plan on doing a few less review blogs since that is all I wrote about last time around. So Here goes phase two... or attempt two... or whatever. Sorry if anyone read anything and I will try my hardest to do better.

Attack the Block

Synopsis: Attack the Block

When Attack the Block was first being advertised and I saw the first trailer I was really excited about watching it. I dont really know why it took me this long to see it,  but I remember it having a super small theatrical release, then it went to Amazon and red box for rental, and then it was even on Netflix for while. I had an insane amount of opportunity to check it out, but somehow I missed it. A couple months ago my coworker Cam was talking about it and I was thinking how it was a shame I had not watched it yet. After this I checked on Amazon, but it was not available for rental any more only as a buy option. If it was $6.00 for the buy I would have bought it right there, but $9.99 for a movie I would only watch once seemed to high. Well last weekend it became available for rental and I had to do it. Finally after this epic journey I was watching this well reviewed movie... but was it worth wait?
