How to train your Dragon 2

Synopsis: IMDB

I remember watching HTTYD in the theater a couple years back and thinking, "its good not great". I really dont know why I have that thought about that movie. I remember really enjoying it, but for some reason it didnt grab me like it grabbed my wife. We decided to go to the theater and check this out. I was shocked how much I enjoyed this movie. It was very cleanly written, well directed, and performed. The story was great. And it was daring... probably the best word I could use for that sentiment. I will honestly say I have very little to say on the negative side. The movie was just really enjoyable. One of the things that will always shock me about modern animated movies (Anything pixar, dispicable me, etc) is how often I am brought to tears. There were multiple moments when I tried with all my might to fight back tears... only to find my self in a losing battle.

Best Thing:
I love TJ Miller... but not as much as I love the really cool symmetry between the characters and their dragons. Especially at the end. I really liked that and it perfectly justified something that seemed shameless previously in the movie.

Worst Thing:
The Bad guy. I really didnt like the bad guy and his strange limitless power. I cant put my finger on the problem... but I just did not care for him.

Overall:
Great movie!! Would suggest for anyone any age. It does get a little dark, but I cant imagine its too dark for children. But since I dont have children maybe be careful with that one. If you liked the first or felt disinterested in the first, try this one for sure.
